Citrus fruits / les agrumes
One day morning, i didn't exactly know what's happening to me and i am searching for something na "maasim" I checked out our fridge, we have no fresh green mango (though we have a dried one). We have fresh green lemon (but it for Claudebiko's cocktail at night) and we have one bag of fresh yellow lemon (usually for my sawsawan and for cakes) well napagdiskitahan ang mga little lemonies ko bago pa sila mag expired and the result was a sourly breaky
Lemon juice, Green tea with lemons and Lemon marmalade
I had a cup of lemon tea, a glass of lemon juice and some spread of lemon marmalade on my french bread. I like the combination of sourness and sweetness of the marmalade i can eat it kahit na walang tinapay. Dont think na i am preggy! o naglilihi nope! hehehe buti nalang kahit na naging maasim ang almusal ko di naman naging sour ang araw ko :)

Yoghurt / les yaourts
We habitually eat yoghurt everyday and more because of Bibingclara. Its a healthy alternative when we do not eat fresh fruit. I love yoghurts of Andechser because of their Blueberry flavor. I often buy yoghurts at B&B boutique where i usually buy yoghurt drinks and organic tea.
These yoghurt flavors costs more and they were made of Soya milk. Those healthy Sojade served as my "Taho" in the morning. They were all good and will keep coming back to buy and try new flavors :)
Natural yoghurt with nuts, banana split and apricot
Straciella and Blueberry flavors
2.44 euros per bottle 500g
These yummy mild yoghurts are more cheaper than the yoghurts in a small pots that they are selling by dozen in the supermarket.
Black currant/Cranberry flavor and Apple/Grenade flavor

Lunch date / Déjeuner
Last sunday, Claudebiko worked all night and went home very late (regional election here). He has no work the next day. He woke up not so late and had a good sleep. (got the chance to stay long on bed because he use to go work early) He was having his coffee while we are having our conversation, thinking what are we going to eat for lunch. I haven't had prepare anything yet kinda lazy of cooking that day :) I would have been like of eating brochettes in a japanese restaurant but i said it will be for a next time when Bibingclara is with us (she in the nursery). Claudebiko wanted to eat pizza and we would like to dine out not so far from home so we decided to have our lunch in our favorite pizzeria Pizza d'italia near home.
Menu carte
Menu carte
I ordered the menu of the day. i chose starter/main course to main course/dessert
I had Calabraselle sausage as starter that i shared with Claudebiko. He chose Calabrasella pizza (has calabraselle sausages too on top, belle pepper and one egg) spicy pizza i can tell.
my menu of the day "cocktail de pâtes" 3 different kinds of pasta. I had small portion of spinach ravioli with cream mushroom sauce, beef lasagna and tagliatelle with tomato sauce. What i like most is the raviolis and i am thinking to cook it at home (probably pasta menu week after lenten season). We drank a half pitcher of white italian wine (cheapest and good) and we finished our meal with 2 cups of espresso. No dessert! sorry for Marunggay (diet ba?) hehehehe I had a nice and very cool lunch date with Claudebiko (walang bata eh) well, will make an italian dessert at home next week :)

Biscuits / les biscuits
I found some interesting biscuits called "filipinos" in one of the supermarket around our area when i do shopped a few weeks ago. Filipinos is a coated chocolate biscuits made in Barcelona. I remember when my aunt spent her vacation in Spain she had filipinos biscuits too that she bought in the supermarket near the apartment where they were renting. She showed me some photos. I thought it was an ice cream or something because of its packaging.
Never thought i could find it here ( limited stocks only ) i bought loads of filipinos (chocolate and milk coated) and share some with my friend Cléo. I do still have more in the cupboard, reserving, thinking of using it as decoration when i bake cakes. Good alternative when i have no more of Oreo cookies, good idea of putting them on top when i will bake white chocolate cheesecake. NEW OVEN Plssss..... :)

Bong He / Ciboulette à fleurs
I had a filipina friend who has a thailander friend. One day, i came to join them for a lunch at their place. When i arrived, i saw that they were preparing and cutting some stalks of Bong He. I get so curious! What is bong he? Well, BONG HE / Chinese chive bud / Ciboulette à fleurs - is an aromatique (less than garlic or leek) and decorative chive that the chef usually use for the cuisine. I guess more popular for the thailandaise cuisine (soups or stir- fry) I asked where she bought it because i would love to try and cook for Claudebiko. She cooked bong he in a simpliest and quickiest way. It was good! We had a nice sautéed bong-he and we had eaten it with thai aromatic rice.
When we eat Bong he at home, Claudebiko habitually put a little of round chili with fried garlic on his rice. I like the spicyness the way he do but for me i like more by added soy sauce for my rice :) I do not recommend to reheat it in a microwave because it will not stay as good and they will turned out soft.
I made mine with beef. It was so tasty and so yuumy
So easy, you will only need things as follows : ( good only for 2)
250g. Bong He (usually one pack)-
cut into 3 pcs. remove the hard part at the bottom (like we usually do w/ kangkong)
2 to 3 pcs. garlic
250g. lean beef (cut into stripes) or chicken breast (cut into cubes)
2 tbsp. cooking oil
fish sauce to taste
Last week, I cooked Bong he and this time with chicken
Procedure:
Heat the wok, cooking oil+fry garlic (when golden brown) add the chicken (or beef)
when the chickens cooks, add next stalks of bong he (do not overcook or mix well) bong he
cooks rapidly and they get easily soft. put just a little water to avoid them from drying then seasoned with patis (fish sauce). Will only takes 8-10 minutes of cooking then its done! Serve it with steamed rice.

Spring time / Printemps
Spring season! Best season to do planting and rearranging our balcony ( i am too lazy doing it). We had a wide balcony and its very nice to have flowers and herbs around. Two years ago we had planted Okra ou (Gombo) and Tomatoes. We had not had a lot of quantity but it was quite good to have some fresh okra's and tomatoes harvested directly from our balcony.
Last week i planted a small Malunggay branch i brought from Philippines (our very nice neighbor "manang" beside gave me) She has plenty of flowers and small trees in a different shapes of pots in front of her house that she can called "her little garden" She told me,the malunggay will grow. She has given me a good instruction on how to plant it and she was actually the one who chopped a small branch that im gonna bring.
I said to Manang i will plant it as soon as get home but because of the chilly weather i postponed to plant it for a couple of weeks hehehe :)
I am crossing my fingers and hoping that it was not too late! (pls.mamunga ka ha) I promised to Manang that if you will grow i will generously share your bountiful leaves to all of my friends. Malunggay is very good ha you can get a lot of health benefits from it. (i can use it when i cook tinola, munggo,or ginataan na isda even sa sardinas in can "ginisa" masarap sya!)
Since i am a big LazyGirlie, Claudebiko will take charge of replanting our flowers (somebody gave him sacks of soil/some flowers in a pots when he worked in the town garden/park) all for free! What a good timing! A plastic wheelbarrow beside (a toy for Bibingclara) He brought it home, founded from the garbage. Cool! They will both get busy these days! I am going to have more time to blog hehehe :)
Banana cake / Cake à la banane
Though our oven works with the unpredictable temperature, my banana cake came out well. I bought some variety of bananas from the chinese store. At first, i was thinking to make sweet banana with coconut milk but i changed my mind instead i made a cake that Bibingclara could eat. Here are some ingredients to make one batch of banana cake:
I made my banana cake for almost an hour because i had to reset again the timer (oven sickness). Well, the result is satisfying. It was well cooked (i have got a good brownish color outside) but its a soft inside (i preferred to eat it when it is still warm) you can keep it in the fridge for a maximum of 3 days (coz when it stay long in the fridge they become too dry) Claudebiko and Bibingclara loves it! muntik na ngang maubos at nangalahati na bago ko napicturan hehehe :)
Ingredients
2 1/2 cup flour (farine)
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 cup brown sugar (cassonade)
4 medium eggs
1/2 cup sour milk (lait fermenté)
1 1/4 cup brown sugar (cassonade)
4 medium eggs
1/2 cup sour milk (lait fermenté)
3 pcs.riped bananas
1/2 cup of nuts (cerneaux de noix)
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 cup of nuts (cerneaux de noix)
1 tbsp. vanilla
In a bowl put the butter+add the sugar mix thoroughly then add the eggs (one at a time) mix well. In another bowl sift the flour+baking powder, pour in sour milk+vanilla
add the two mixture, mix them well together
put the mashed bananas, and put the choped nuts together
Heat the oven at 175°c and bake for 45 minutes

Pasalubong / mes cadeaux (2éme partie)
I have still got plenty of kados pasalubong pabaon from my sistah. She gave me 12 bottles of spicy spanish sardines. I haven't been stressed about our kilo's because i know it will gonna be ok ( they are all in glass bottles) I did not refuse to take them, I grabbed them all! :)
I generously gave some of my bottle sardines to my friends here (that was my sister's intended) we usually eat sardines with buttered french bread as a starter. So delicious! me, i can eat it with rice and savour with some seasoning ( solve na! ) i've also got bottles of pinakurat suka (a spicy vinegar), turones de mani, kasuy tarte and pastillas (specialties in some part of manila) all pampataba! hehehe :)
When we were at thome, she showed me a betty coin bank (she doesn't like to give it to me coz she has her full coins already inside) So, one night she went home with betty boop keychain and betty boop wallet ( my 1st ever betty of 2010 ) and telling "oh ayan na si betty boop mo!" (nakunsensya ata hehehe)
She knows me, i am a dying hard fan of betty boop so she offered me her 3 pcs. old betty kitchen towels ( walang patawad! ) kahit na medyo me kalumaan na kinuha ko pa rin! huh :)
Sistah and Me
It was her who gave me my first betty boop towel when i was a student simula nun nag collect na ako. Sayang! (Dommage!) We haven't had enough chance na mag bonding ng matagal together.
Pero ganunpaman na kapag bonding kame kahit na kaunti. (She treated me a massage, i forgot the name of the Spa picture taking is not allowed but i did it without a flash) We had a great massage, food (they had a buffet) so nagkainan bonding din kame.
Nagpa hair style sa mall
She bought a plantsa/kulot thing for her

My sistah likes all pampalandi thing! she likes shoes too (she has plenty of pairs at home) she is a beauty concious woman. Ako? well, im into food hehehe i loved to eat (a big difference from her) actually it shows naman sexy sya, ako mataba huhuhu
Kantahan bonding with my sistah
We tried my new Magic sing (she offered me one) and i am using it often at home. Bibingclara likes to sing Bahay-kubo from the karaoke.
When i leave (the driver droves me home back first at the hotel) my sistah was crying. saying goodbye is not always easy! yeah it was hard ( the reason why i do not wish to bring us back to the airport) she's been known as a crying lady hehehe i dont wanna feel sad looking at her crying.
Next time i will visit again, i will make sure to have a long bonding time with my sistah. We missed so much each other (i am her little baby sistah) we are very close (not so far hehehe) Its for you my sistah. I love you and i am missing you already. I would like to say thank you for everything! Thank you for all! I will still be here your sister next to you and YOU will always be my "Ate" you always take care... No cry Pls.... :)

Dried Mango / Mangue séchée
We came back home with our suitcases full of things that we bought from Philippines. I had packed them well and perfectly checked that we haven't forget anything (except for a new rice cooker to bring with :( ).Well, that would be for a next time I made sure as well that i put a lock, with that nobody can steal our mangoes (Exag) Not exaggerating hehehe Dried Mango is popular and we love it very much and we doesn't like that they will disappear without any justice! hehehe Claudebiko had already a bad experience about bringing dried mangoes. Here's the story Annie, (our friend) gave him a dozen pieces of dried mangoes the last time he went home. Claudebiko put them all at the exterior pocket of his luggage (without any lock just a zip) then what was happened? for sure all was stolen. Sayang! So he said "this time we have to be careful"
Thanks to our Kumare's who gave us dried mangoes as "Pabaon". We have got 2 dozens of Guadalupe 200g from Annie, 10 pcs Cebu 100g dried mango chips from Naomi and 6 pcs Cebu 100g dried green mango that i bought from the supermarket.
Not that all! I also bought 6 pcs Cebu 88 banana chips. I haven't had any left dried bananas (it was so so good too) dried guyabano and dried pineapple.
And lastly, a special thanks to my Kumareng Ero who gave me these yummy assorted biscuits from Malabon. I cannot name them all what i know is Masarap silang lahat hehehe (nilantakan ko muna yung Biskotso) I have got a pack of Otap, Kamachile, Biskotso, Egg drops, Oval sweetcuits, and another pack of round biscuits tastes of cinnamon. Once again, BIG THANKS MGA KUMARE!!! :)
Food shopping / faire les courses alimentaires
Our hotel is located near edsa so if we want to go eat out or to do food shopping very easy and accessible. The only thing we have to do is to cross the road. One day, we were at SM grocery store because i was looking for a ripe mangoes and ripe bananas for Bibingclara. A big changes inside, they are widely big now and you can find everything. I was busy choosing fruits at the fruit section (Claudebiko's also busy taking up photos) when one men came to me and told "Mam bawal po ang picture". He cannot tell directly to Claudebiko so he passed on me his message. I understand its for their Security well, we have to respect so i listened. I yelled to Claudebiko "Hey, c'est interdit! c'est interdit!" Too late he have got already some photos.

Marang ou Durian?
I never knew this fruit before. When my sister bought Marang i thought it was a Durian she forced me to taste it but i refused. I do not eat Durian because of its strong odor and i do not like it much. She insisted me once again to give it a try. She said "Gaga ang sarap!" well, because she's older than me hehe (peace sistah) i did try.
Grabe! Heaven! Ang bigat! Ang Sarap-sarap nga! As in ... i tasted it! the flesh is so sweet! the odor doesn't bothered me (odor is much less than durian). I asked her where she bought it and she said "secret" huh! because of the heavenly taste of this fruit i can't even remember its name until one day when my friend had us visit at home i made her show this photo (because i can just say parang Durian). My friend shouted " Ay! its Marang!) yeah Marang is really good.
That's my cousin's hand (vheron) she was like me at the beginning who doesn't had the courage to eat it. We almost finish everything muntik na ngang di matirahan si sistah hehehe well, in the end i learned that you wouldn't have to go in the province to eat Marang because they are available at SM supermarket and you can buy them at reasonable price (depends of its availability). Now, i have to look for it too here in Chinese Store. Who know's :) Miss Coco / Mademoiselle Coco
Edvi, my friend has flown right from Texas to spend 5 days tour in Paris with her family. Second purpose? To award herself by buying bag from Channel. She's collecting signature bags and she truly worked hard for it good enough to treat herself and made her shopping in Galeries Lafayette . They visited us in our apartment, we had lunch and spent little time chitchatting.
Bibingclara got plenty of pasalubong from them and all in pink
pink bear, pink dress and pink barbie
I have got lots of Betty boop items too :)
Betty bedroom slipper,a pair of sock,Betty flip flops and a coffee mug
Claudebiko had a pair of levi's jeans too thanks gurl!
We haven't seen each other for ages. I was so happy to see her here and when i flashback, i could still remember that we both enrolled in Arena Gym in Quezon Avenue. She was the one who influenced me to go on get fit (because i was desperada that time) i guess we have the same reason hehehe i kid. I was motivated in the beginning but in the end, i ended up lazy working out at all and all i just wanted is to have my massage. Looking at us, since we are both became mom now we gets bigger and bigger but hey, its not an excuse hehehe :) Anyway, worth it naman coz we both have cutie toddlers.
It's Gabby her son, he's only a year older than Bibingclara. My Bibingclara was trying to give him a kiss. Anak do not show up that you were harrassing gab! i haven't trained you that way now, he looked playing hard to get. No, he just get surprised meeting up with a little french girl for the first time nakss nahiya na tuloy si gabby. Woodcraft / l'art du bois
When we were in puerto galera i bought some woodcraft as pasalubong for my friends. There are so many choices, i stayed so long in the shop choosing what im gonna take (salawahan).
The shop's name is Artcrafts and it is located in Sabang in front of the beach. Their woodcrafts are coming from Baguio a bit pricey than Kultura . The daughter's owner related that they are buying their products from the indigenous people in Baguio and sometimes they do some exceptional piece. They have plenty of little things you can like, some are heavy well it depends on the style. For me, i made sure to get the cutiest and the lightiest one.
