Food fiesta2

The next birthday celebrant will be ate yolly, ( in may ) sorina's sister. We do not get her invite yet joke! hehehe ate yolly is also a generous woman and when it comes to food, she also likes to prepare abundantly. The last time we were at ate yolly's house was last december when they gave me a surprise bday bash. The photo below was taken when we feasted on sorina's chili con carne at ate yolly's :)
a lunch date with friends. we had salad, sisig and chili con carne on the table
Because i am influenced and get intrigued by chili con carné à la sorina, i asked how she made it then i tried it at home :)
Ingredients:                  1 can red kidney beans / 1 pouch tomato sauce
cooking oil
2 gloves garlic ( minced )
1 small onion ( chopped )
1 small tomato ( chopped )
100-150g ground beef
1 carrot (diced )
half of a red bell pepper ( diced )
salt and pepper
chili powder
1 pack tortilla
In a wok or pan, heat the oil, sautéed garlic, onion, tomato when done, add the ground beef and let it cook for 5-8 minutes. As it simmer, add the kidney beans, pour in tomato sauce then next the carrots, bell pepper let it cook for another 5 minutes. You may add little water as if its need and if want the sauce gets thicker, adding tomato paste ( in a small can or in tube type ) can help ( i dont add mine cause i dont want my chili con carné gets sour ). Seasoned with salt and pepper. Dashed with chili pepper.
chili cor carné on my tortilla
I like the outcome of my chili con carné. First attempt was sumptuous! I like my chili con carné with a hint of tabasco hot sauce and enjoy it most with a rosé wine. Yum! next time i will make tacos! mabuhay ang mexicanos :)
