Maja maïs

Nakaka-miss talaga ang mga pinoy desserts at nakakainis naman ang pagdagdag ng timbang kakakain ng matatamis panghimagas hehehe. well, hindi naman ako guilty syempre time to time gumagawa din ako ng mga dessert na gustung-gusto kong kainin tulad na lamang nitong napakasuper-easying gawin na maja blanca ou maja mais :)
Ingredients : 1 can of kernel corn
2 cups coconut milk
1-1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup condensed milk
1/4 cup white sugar
some peanuts
Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower the heat. Cook while stirring. Continue mixing and allow to cook till you get the desired thickness of your maja. Mine, cooking time was about 20 minutes.
place on the baking tray or any recipient available. Let it cool
when completely rest, place in the fridge for couple of hours. Decorate or garnish with crushed peanuts or toasted coconut bits :)
I made maja mais for my friend's bday last june. I opted not to crush the peanuts but instead i used them to decorate maja dedicated to the birthday celebrator :)
